Despite the hottest day in October history, the Felicity's have been searching high and low for the best vintage winter range for our fellow vintage lovers! And what did we ponder across...

Like this gorgeous apple checked short sleeved shirt, and this stunning 70's style dogtooth patterned leather bag. We paired it with a vintage Adidas jacket and levi's shorts for a modern take on the androgyny trend!

This stunning silver, sea blue and earth green panelled shirt was by far my favourite find, and captures so well on the camera! We paired it with braces and vintage levi's. For a night out however, we would wear with vintage high waisted leather hotpants and lace tights!

This gorgeous piece was Laura's favourite! It epitomises feminine chic, with its delicate floral red embroidery, the structured shoulder pads and the milky cream texture of the fabric, it's the prefect edition to your wardrobe. Wear as a vintage top, or wear as a stunning light jacket.

Truly, Madly, Deeply.

Well, well, well... It's been a while since my last blog! What with work and Laura being away, I've been pretty busy! However now I have a week off, its going to be nothing but Amour, clothes, vintage hunts, Vogue, blogging and starbucks!

I did however, find the time to do a bit of vintage shopping for myself though, (and indulge my jacket obsession that seems to rear its head every winter haha!). You know those battered, worn, heavy duty, classic male cut, oversized brown leather jacket that every vintage lover hopes to come across? Well I hit the jackpot!

Check out this little stunner!

I plan on rocking it with some oversized knits and my over the knee socks, vintage levi's and band t-shirts, or grunging up one of my pretty dresses! The wonderful thing about leather jackets is theres nothing it doesn't go with. Making it a wardrobe staple!

A/W Trend Alert: 'Heritage'

Buh Bye Summer...

Back at Amour HQ, we are finally getting back into the swing of things after our amazing fashion show :-)!

We are now selling all our summer garments in preparation for Autumn/Winter. We can't wait to start our vintage hunt; I'm hoping for lots of furs, velvet, luxurious lace and beautiful English tweed.

As much as I love Summer, I can't wait to whack out my stunning Vintage leopard fur! So there's lots for you lovelies to look forward to!

I've spent the day taking pictures of our beautiful garments; it's going to break my heart to let some of them go! Laura's off camping, sunning herself, swimming in the beautiful lakes and making Nando's over a Barbecue... just a little bit jealous!

Our first fashion show and pop up shop!

OH MY GOD! We absolutely loved our first fashion show and shop, hosted at Bar 1 in Sunderland, in association with 'Run for Cover' the premier swanky 60s night each month!

We were so excited to show off our creations, and felt a real buzz when we could actually come face to face with our customers. We had a great response, and loads of support when our gorgeous models (nervous as they were!) came strutting onto the stage.

We thought we'd share a sneak peek of 'behind the scenes' of the show; it was manic to say the least! But an amazing manic, if that makes sense. It really hit us that, we were really doing something we were passionate about and people were supporting us.

We met some other local businesses and had a little chat about our concept and how much we loved it. The DJ's, Kris and Liam, made sure the venue had amazing music all night, and we couldn't help but dance along as we were selling our vintage goodies.

A big thanks must go out to all of the staff at Bar 1 who let us hijack their little 60s night, and our gorgeous models who wore our clothes so beautifully.

New Service for all!

Hi dolls, sorry we've been noticeably M.I.A from the blogging radar as of late; we've just been soooo busy with our first fashion show!

For local fans, it's at Bar 1 in Sunderland, on the Priestman roundabout (round the corner from The Cooper Rose). It's a really cool, relaxed venue, so why not grab a drink with friends this Saturday night (30th), and see what we have to offer!

The main purpose of this post was to let everyone know about our new customisation service. If you have seen a top in a store with a cute collar or detail and would like to emulate it, let us know! We've had a hectic weekend, juggling our part time jobs, looking for better jobs, and trying to make this fashion show the best ever! Now, we just want to relax with a cuppa and a good film. My film of choice? (500) days of Summer.

Graduation, 5 star spas and fashion shows!

Good afternoon everyone, thought I'd write a quick post as to what we've been up to this past week...

It's been all go for me (Laura), as I completed work experience at a North East magazine. I was so nervous on that Monday morning, and hoped I'd get thrown in at the deep end. Well I was right! Within 20 minutes of arriving at the office, I was making phone calls, putting together stories and features.

Then came the major perks! I was sipping diet coke on a roof terrace on day 1 (interviewing a bar owner), a 5 STAR SPA ON DAY 2! Called Rockcliffe Hall, all I can say was Oh my God, I thought I'd died and went to heaven. We had work to do first, interviewing staff about upcoming events and offers, then I was allowed to completely CHILL. This was exactly what I needed, considering I hadn't even had time to celebrate completing my degree at Uni before being thrust into the workplace.

I also got to interview a very interesting lifestyle coach; so many things he said I could relate to my own life! In between these perks was absolute bedlam. The editor had to close two issues of the magazine, as well as contribute to local newspapers, and I was there to help. So busy, but so enjoyable! I'm hoping to go back sometime soon, as I had started to build relationships and could really see myself working there.

Not too sure what Melissa's been up to, she's been floating back down to Earth, squeezing in some shifts at work after her amazing week in Paris.

In other news, Melissa and I are about to graduate! We both achieved a 2:1 degree, yay for us! Our ceremony is this Thursday, so we'll be sure to post a few pictures of us in our Harry Potter gown getups, oh how will we accessorise this?!

We're also getting to work on our fashion show! At Bar 1 in Sunderland, we're showcasing a collection of customised pieces available for sale that night! Local fans, let us know if there's anything you'd like to see! Prices are purse friendly, so grab a vintage customised bargain whilst sipping on a cocktail!

Paris, Je'Taime...

So, I finally get around to blogging after my departure from the country last week. Me and my boyfriend jetted off to my favourite city in the whole world for my 21st birthday, and I had THE best time!

I thrived on the chance to take pictures of the Eiffel Tower, the Arc de Triomphe and all the other beautiful sights Paris has to offer. There's just something about the place, they embrace music, fashion, art and culture in a way other countries don't seem to grasp. Being in that environment was very intoxicating!

Luckily I spent my 21st in Disneyland, (my first experience) and I'm not ashamed to say I LOVED it! I got to meet Mickey and all the Disney Princesses, and the parade was just to die for! I can't believe I haven't been before! (We have every intention of going back in September, hehe!)

So, yeah... the best week of my life, although I did miss Amour to death, and I'm back and ready for action on our fashion show, (BREAKING NEWS!) at Run for Cover in Bar 1 (Sunderland) on the 30th July. So come see us and grab a vintage goodie after we showcase our 60s inspired summer collection with our gorgeous models!

Road trip!

Good evening ladies! Sorry for the lack of bloggage as of late, but we've been super busy with new job prospects, travel, and an amazing secret we can't wait to share with our local vintage lovers!

Melissa's currently boarding a plane to Paris for 5 days to celebrate her 21st (lucky so and so!), so it's just me at Amour HQ this week! Nevertheless, I recently took an impromptu trip across to Leeds last Thursday, with Marie, a good friend of Melissa's and myself. The trip was full of weather changes, laughs, good food and shopping.

As always, I started the day with a trusty coffee and a muffin, the Amour girls aren't worth talking to before we've had our fix! Marie and I then hit the highstreet to see what we could find.

I was most excited about finding vintage and charity stores to rummage around, but alas, I found NONE! Could any ladies fill me in on where they are?

I then drooled at the windows of Mulberry, Vivienne Westwood, and Louis Vuitton. I was like a child, nose pressed against the glass, peering inside at the sheer luxury on display.

I then remembered my love of vintage, one of a kind, a LOT more purse friendly, and fabulous quality with a real story behind it!

The perfect clubbing outfit

Good afternoon all! So far I have spent my day shopping for the perfect presents for one of my best friend's 22nd birthday, and stopping off for a good old latte to warm me up on a somewhat cold Monday in June :-(.

After a peek around the highstreet, and vintage stores for something for myself for her birthday celebrations tonight, it got me thinking: What is the perfect clubbing outfit? I'm normally a dress and heels kinda girl, because I feel underdressed if I don't go all out. Melissa on the other hand (my partner in crime for Amour Vintage) goes clubbing in flats, and ribbed tights or socks and rocks it. Why can't I?

So, I'm thinking of doing a dressed down/dressed up look, a la Lauren Conrad, mixing vintage with highstreet for a cute look on a budget.

No biggie...just PAOLO NUTINI!

AHHHHHHHHHHHHH! I had the best night of my life this Saturday. After years of merciless (but harmless!) stalking, I finally met the man of my dreams... PAOLO NUTINI!

Yes, you have read it right, I was clubbing with Paolo Nutini in Sunderland Independent and it was amaaaaaazing! I ran into Starbucks for our Amour meeting the morning after and told Laura over a vanilla latte (mmmm), and she was BEYOND jealous of me, hee hee!

Not going to lie, I couldn't understand a word he said, although his accent was very cute! He was a real sweetie.

So girls, I hope you're all jealous :-P

Good afternoon ladies!

We've spent yet another day hunting for the very best in vintage fashion for all of you, (as well as a cheeky Starbucks and plan of action for our next vintage trip and photoshoot!)

So here's what we've found this week, and you're in for a treat! We really can't bear to part with them all!

This little cutie feels so soft! THE summer separate! Lightweight and crisp, this is perfect with denim cut offs for lazy days at the beach or a BBQ.

This combines two of summers major trends, floral and the pleated midi length. Gorgeous for shopping or drinks with the girls, just add wedges for instant glamour.

This stunning embroidered number was nabbed within seconds of us catching glimpse of it! So versatile, take it from day to night with a waist cinching belt and stacked heels.

Never far from the fashion radar, animal print never goes out of style. This snakeskin tee is perfect for run-around-town errands with ballet flats, or pair with skinny jeans, leather shorts or tapered trousers for drinks in the bar!

WOW! This eye catching baby is a nod to the colour blocking trend, with our favourite midi length and abstract print. Clash with a bright vest, or keep it simple, however you're feeling!

Dare I?

Finally had my first lie in this morning. I've woken up to the sun beaming through my window, box of Malteasers for breakfast and the third series of the US Office...Perfect!
On the hunt to find you the perfect vintage garments, I found mine! I've been searching and searching for the perfect vintage denim jacket. It's been a continuing struggle however because I love the oversized look of a mens', but the only ones I could find were normally an XL, way to big for me! My luck changed this week though and I came across this stunning light stone wash denim jacket, mens', in a small. I tried it on and fell instantly in love. Turning up the collar I had instant 80's Madonna chic!
So, with that in mind I'm going to a BBQ tonight, and I think I'm going to go with the '80's Madonna theme', bralet and all. Dare I? I love the look of a bralet, but it has to be paired with exactly the right clothes so it looks classy. I think I'm going to go for my stunning denim jacket, bralet, and a bright block red pleated skirt. I'll blog some photos later so you can see.
